Hi, my name is Michelle Ong and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. I currently provide in-person psychotherapy in Pasadena. I have experience working in various hospitals, clinics, and community-based mental health settings with children, adults, and families. I have worked with individuals who struggle with severe co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, trauma, grief, stress, relationship/boundary issues, parenting, and more. As an individual who grew up both in Korea and in the U.S., mental health was never an open topic of conversation in my family. I believe learning to invest in yourself is one of the most courageous steps in life. You are worthy to be heard, restored, and to thrive. I seek to advocate for and provide a safe, caring, non-judgemental, and collaborative space for holistic care that can promote deeper healing and growth.

My Specialties

I specialize in unpacking trauma, specifically supporting individuals who have experienced sexual abuse. This may include issues such as low self-esteem, guilt, shame, difficulty setting boundaries, expressing emotions, and more.

My goal is to empower you to uproot any unhealthy patterns of behavior and thought, both conscious and unconscious, and to discover what it means to become your healthier, true self- physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I utilize various therapeutic approaches, including strength-based and trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other modalities. We can collaborate and see what works best for you.
